“Life’s most precious moments are not all loud or uproarious. Silence and stillness has its own virtues.”
The deep sigh the earth makes in January. The energy has switched and I relax into the slower pace. Back to a more regular schedule. I’ve set my alarm at the same time every morning and start my day with exercise; my body likes to move and stretch in the morning.
Over night oats with blueberries or a steaming bowl of lentil stew. I crave food that takes time and is comforting and wholesome. I embrace the re-connection to groundedness.
At this time of year, the forest is misty and I see my breath as I walk. The ivy and cedar aren’t disturbed by the cold, I nestle deeper into my wool coat.
I’ll let my photos speak for me today. For now I pause in the stillness and breathe in the new year with quiet contemplation.
“JANUARY,
The first month of the year,
A perfect time to start all over again,
Changing energies and deserting old moods,
New beginnings, new attitudes”
Breathe in the new year. Thanks for joining me.
