My Top Blushes For Spring/Summer

I have a blush problem; too many blushes, not enough storage 🙂 These are the blushes I’m loving for Summer. It was difficult to photograph them; some have a more matte finish and other a satin luminescence. I hope the photos do them justice.

Burts Bees in Toasted Cinnamon

In the pan, this blush looks kind of boring. On the skin and especially when I’m tanned, it chisels the cheeks and gives them a warm natural bronzed look. A great shade for a no-makeup-makeup look

Laura Mercier Colour Infusion in Passionfruit

This was my first Laura Mercier blush. With the most gentle hint of shimmer, this pinky hue is very flattering on all skin shades and takes on a lively pink shade on cheeks.

Hourglass Ambien Lighting in Sublime Flush

I don’t know the technology behind Hourglass Cosmetics but all of their products give the skin a luminescence that no other company has been able to figure out. I reach for Sublime Flush when I’m still not tan in the Spring/Summer , it has a true pink shade with lavender undertones. Beautiful.

Clarins Joli Blush in Cheeky Coral

This shade gives me an instant face lift. A bright punchy orange, I like doing a monochromatic look with it on my cheeks and eyes and bringing it high on the cheekbones and up to the temples. Summer in a blush.

Pixi Sheer Cheek Gel in Rosy

This buildable cheek gel is a mauve-y berry shade that sinks into skin giving it a natural looking flush, like you’ve just been running. I work it into my cheeks and a little over the bridge of my nose to look like I’ve had a little too much sun.

Fenty Match Stix in Yacht Lyfe

This blush is a good dupe for the Nars Orgasm. A light peach with a luminous gold sheen. This shade has it’s own built in highlight. Gorgeous on tan and pale-er skin.

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso

Milani performs as well as (if not better) than a high end lines but is sold at drugstores. I have many of the baked blushes but Luminoso is the most universal. A natural peach shade with a satin sheen that gives the complexion a beautiful golden glow.

Mac Extra Dimension Blush in Hushed Tone

As the name says, these blushes have dimension to them. Move your face around in the light and ti shade changes from orange to a guilded gold. Mac does blushes really well. I have another one from this collection in a bright magenta tone for Fall. Nothing hushed about this shade.

Benefit Galifornia Golden Pink Blush

This blush is gorgeous. A cheerful golden peach for a real punch of colour. It has a slight scent of grapefruit to add to the Summer vibes.

Cover FX Monochromatic Blush Duo in Pink Dahlia

Cover FX is a new brand to me. I’d heard of it a few times through people I follow online and you can only purchase their products on their website. I’m glad I tried this one. It comes with a matte and shimmer topper that can be used separately or together. I bought this shade as well as their bronzer and another blush in a mauve which I’ll hold onto for the Fall. Meanwhile Im loving this pinky peach shade that gives my skin a boost of colour and glow.

What kind of blush person are you? High impact or natural? Matte or Shimmer? Coral or Pink?

Thanks for joining me today. Until next time.

Love,

Jennifer
