Haul Time: What $100 Worth Of Shoppers Drugmart Points Bought Me.

I try to buy as many of the things I need at Shoppers Drugmart.  Their point system adds up quickly if you’re buying daily necessities like toothpaste, kleenex or cleaning supplies.  I save my points until I have a good $50 -100+,  that’s when I get my “guilty pleasure” stuff.  I do realize these things are not “free” but it certainly felt like the were this week when I filled my cart with goodies I’ve been wanting to try and my total bill came to $26. Score!

This is what I recently purchased with $100 worth of Shopper Drugmart Points

NUXE Paris

This is a brand I’ve always wanted to try. These two travel kits come with the brands most famous products and the shimmer oil and bronzer are full size.  At $19 each, I don’t see why I wouldn’t give them a try. I love the travel pouches they come in too, great for taking to the spa, in your purse or (fingers crossed) on vacation.

The Nuxe dry oils are the #1 seller from this brand and a cult favourite of French woman.  I tried the mini body & hair oil yesterday, it sinks into skin and hair right away, nourishing without an greasy residue.  The kabuki brush in the bronze kit is so soft.

Milani Palette and Lipstick

This eyeshadow palette is very much out of my comfort zone, which is why I bought it.  I tend to stick to safe shades like neutrals or smokey and bronzy tones.  This palette is a dream; greens, corals and purples. I think I’ll try rocking a peacock blue eye. I’m feeling the #80sVibes coming on.  $14

This lipstick is the perfect deep red.  Milani Matte Confident would go so well with a simple cat eye and a french inspired Breton top (blue and white striped shirt). Coco Chanel would be proud of me.  $7

Revolution EyeShadow Palette

I’ve known of Revolution makeup brand for a while but had never tried any of their products.  This eyeshadow palette screams Autumn to me.  I love Autumn and can already envision a smokey eye with the bricks, auburns and golds paired with a chunky cable-knit sweater and a plaid skirt. I think it’ll go into my collection until the leaves begin to fall.   $19

French Pharmacy

Clean, un-scented or very lightly fragranced producst are what French Pharmacy brands are known for.  I put this Avene face cleanser and Bioderma body wash straight into my shower. They’re both gentle enough for the most sensitive of skins and smell oh so fresh.  $13

It seems Embryolisse is a staple in any respectable French woman’s bathroom cabinet.  It is always mentioned in the French inspired Vlogs I watch.  A lightweight face cream, it’s loved by famed makeup artists and celebrities who always carry it in their kits and use it both as a moisturizer and makeup primer. $26

ELF Concealer

ELF has always been known as a very reasonably priced makeup brand.  This doesn’t mean the quality suffers.  This concealer in Medium Peach wears really well and acts wonderfully as both a colour corrector and concealer for blue-ish circles under the eyes.  $3.99

SunBum SPF 50

I like to use a spray for all over body sunscreen.  There’s nothing worse than using a cream SPF then having sticky hands at the beach.  SunBum spray SPF 50 is light and dries quickly .  It doesn’t transfer on to clothing and smells like coconut.  No chemical sunscreen scent here. $14

Do you collect points like I do?  Do you use them for household necessities or guilty pleasures like me?  I’d love to hear what your drugstore favourites are.

Until next time.

Love,

Jennifer
