I’ve been making it a point to keep somewhat of a regular schedule even though I’m mostly at home these days. It’s good to keep routines like meal times, exercise and sleep; our bodies appreciate it. I’ve been starting my day as I would any work day; healthy breakfast, shower, skincare, makeup and wearing something that isn’t pj’s. It sets the mood for a productive day.
Because I’ve mostly just been in the house, I’ve been doing this very simple makeup routine to freshen up and lift my spirit. These are the products I’ve been using for my Makeup For Staying Home. I’ll leave links to every product so that you can try them out.
I do my skincare straight out of the shower. The steam opens the pores and allows for quick absorption of all the active ingredients I use: acid peel, Vitamin C serum, Lactic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid and CoEnzyme Q10. https://www.timelessha.com/
For glowing skin I use the 111 Skin Rose Gold Radiance Booster; a shimmery serum-like product that reflect light and glows through foundation.

This Vichy foundation is very light coverage and is more like a tinted serum. I pat one pump on my skin using a damp beauty blender to cover only areas that need a bit of brightness. https://www.vichy.ca/en/make-up
Next, a very light dab of concealer under the eyes and around the nose to even out redness.

And a pearl sized drop of Lumi Glotion in Light Glow warmed up between my fingers and patted on the high points of my face (cheek bones, forehead and bridge of my nose). https://www.lorealparis.ca/en/products/make-up/face/foundation/true-match-lumi-glotion-902-light-glow/
This Peony blush shade by ISH Cosmetics looks kinda meh at first sight but it’s the prettiest shimmering pink. I prefer cream blush but after applying this powder blush I press it in with the damp beauty blender and it sinks in the skin with a cream like appearance. https://ish.co/
Using the lightest dusting of Butter Bronzer from the Physician’s Formula Murumuru Butter kit around my hairline and temples.
And a combination of these bronze and rose-gold shadows swept across the lid with my finger.

I brush my eyebrows with this clear eyebrow gel by ISH Cosmetics. I don’t fill my brows in to stay home.
One coat of mascara by Kiko Milano (they ship to the US, lucky!). https://www.kikocosmetics.com/en-us/
And my favourite lip balm at the moment. It’s a lipstick but goes on really glossy and can be built up to create a stronger shade: Beaming Strawberry by Revlon https://www.revlon.com/
And that is it! Start to finish about 10 minutes. Applying my makeup is fun and relaxing and I’ve been playing around with little changes each day.
I hope you are enjoying this time at home as much as you can. I’d love to hear what you’ve been doing so drop me a line if you’d like.
Until next time.
Love,
Jennifer
