Still Life – A walk in the forest

I woke around 9am, the room was chilly as I had turned the heat down the night before. Once under the feather duvet it isn’t really needed.
A new morning in the temperate rainforest and it called me so I got dressed and headed out.

The sunlight shone warmly in contrast to the cool wet air from the rainfall over night. The light streaming through the forest canopy creating dappled light and shade.  I could smell the musty earth below me as I walk, sweet with hints of yellow cedar and pine.

Something in me wants to be one with the trees and moss and dew drops.  I pull my camera out and get in for a closer look.
