“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous”. – Coco Chanel
Summers are relatively short here on the Pacific NorthWest. We get more than 166 days of rain a year, November thru March can easily be wet for 20 consecutive days. I have a small closet that I divide into two; One side is Autumn/Winter, the other Spring/Summer and I keep the current season on the left which is the more accessible side. It’s an interesting contrast to see the heavier knits, greys and jewel tones I wear in the colder months to the bright colours and floral prints the Summer wardrobe showcases. Welcome to my Spring/Summer closet.
Dresses make up the majority of my Spring/Summer closet. They’re so practical and being someone who never really aced the art of layering like my sister Steph, I feel that a dress is a much easier way to look put together.
Colour, florals and even neons come out with the sunshine.
Pony hair flats from Gravity Pope, Leather wedges by Michael Kors, Espadrilles purchased on a trip to Spain and “go with anything” nude heeled sandals, Nine West.
Sequins and beading details transform this Boho dress into a day to night as well as a conversation piece.
One and two piece suits for weekends at the lake, boating, hot tubbing and dips in the cool pacific ocean.
A mini A-line shift dress & a midi wrap with pockets in my favourite shades of blush and fuschia.
A light floral print for a daytime wedding and a bolder floral body-con dress for date night.
The Latina in me would live in leopard – A fitting dress for drinks downtown and a flowing maxi dress for a walk on the beach.
A little white dress is just as useful as a little black dress. These are easy to dress up or down with heels or sandals.
Thanks for visiting my closet today!
Love,
Jennifer
