The following are a few things and products I’ve been using and loving in October. I will be sharing my monthly favourites hoping they will be useful or inspiring to you.

If you have long hair like me you will understand the need for a good oil or serum for flyaways. For years I’ve used Moroccan Oil and was quite shocked recently to see how they’ve raised the price almost a full $10. After a bit of online research I found this treatment by L’oreal and am so glad I took the time to. It has the same non greasy consistency as moroccan oil, smells lovely and works EXACTLY the same . The best part. It’s $15 as opposed to $47 . SOLD!

There’s just something about mouth watering foodie candles that make me very happy and this yankee candle in Salted Caramel has been burning in my kitchen in October. HomeSense is a great place for “last season” candles that product lines are no longer offering on their sites. This candle goes for $27 on YankeeCandle.com. HomeSense: $9

I use cute mismatched tea dishes on my dresser to store my jewelry. I like to see my jewelry out so that I actually use it. These dishes are pretty and keep everything tidy and they’re really really cheap at garage sales and thrift stores.

These express dry drops are an amazing time saver if you like to keep your nails manicured. Just paint your nails, wait about 2 minutes, add a couple of these drops to each nail and your mani is completely dry in seconds! Shoppers Drugmart $3. Hello!

Speaking of Mani/Pedi’s, Essie was on sale in October at London Drugs so I picked up this shade called “A Cut Above”. It’s pink, it’s sparkly, it’s festive. I think I’ll save it for all the Holiday parties coming up.

If you know me, you know I LOVE cooking. So when I got a subscription to Food Network Magazine for my birthday (from my boyfriends lovely sister) I was thrilled and now excitedly anticipate it’s arrival in the mail.
